"Fascism: A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline (Foothill Conservancy, Amador Citizens for Smart Growth, Amador County Citizens For Stabilizing & Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions?), humiliation or victimhood (Watersheds, Viewsheds, Global Warming, Open Space?) and by compensatory cults of unity (“Consensus” instead of Democracy?), energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants (Environmentalist Radicals?), working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites (Bay Area Transplants?), abandons democratic liberties (Private Property Rights?) and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints (Kelo Decision, Smart Growth “Principles”?), goals of internal cleansing and external expansion."
